JERSEY CITY — City officials responded Wednesday evening after a video emerged showing Jersey City police officers apparently kicking or dragging a bystander who had ended up catching fire after a police chase in that city. Some said the person was just near the chase and wasn’t involved.
Mayor Steven Fulop Tweeted on Wednesday evening, “2 b clear. This is unacceptable. We’re IDing officers. We’ll pursue termination + criminal charges as appropriate”
