The three member contingent representing the Bayonne recreation Special Olympic swim team, the “Dolphins,” turned in outstanding performances at the 2017 Hudson County/Bergen County swim meet held at Rutherford High School:
Elaina Walsh: 2nd place – 25 meter freestyle, 4th place – 50 meter freestyle
Ian Hudacko: 2nd place – 25 meter freestyle, 3rd place – 50 meter freestyle
Jovanni Torres: 1st place – 100 meter butterfly, 4th place – 50 meter freestyle
Accompanying the athletes to the event were their coaches, chaperones, and bus driver: Tessie Diaz, Jillian Bergalowski, Anastasia Lee, Shelia Hudacko, Tony Torres, Christopher Burns, Veronica Burns, Eddie Broderick and Willie Pacas. Everyone was very proud of the team’s accomplishments.
