Ian Hudacko led the three member contingent by capturing two gold medals at the 2017 Special Olympic North Jersey Swim Meet. The event was held in Wayne, NJ. The results were:
Ian Hudacko: 1st place – 25 meter freestyle, 1st place – 50 meter freestyle
Elaina Walsh: 2nd place – 25 meter freestyle, 2nd place – 50 meter freestyle
Jovanni Torres: 1st place – 100 meter butterfly, 2nd place – 50 meter freestyle
Next stop for these swimmers is New Jersey Special Olympic Summer Games. The Summer Games will be held at The College of New Jersey in Ewing from June 9 to 11. The athletes were accompanied to the meet by their coaches and fans: Tessie Diaz, Veronica Burns, Shelia Hudacko, and Tony Torres.
