Ciesmelewski, Radil put Penguins back on track

Thumped 10-2 by the now (1-4) Devils in their last effort, the (4-1) Penguins looked to regain their winning swagger as they locked horns again in the JCC of Bayonne Division Floor Hockey League. Shedding his goalie pads, the Penguins Zachary Ciesmelewski showed off his shooting skills by quickly putting his squad up 2-0 while Megan Feeley tallied two assists. Setting up at half court, the Devils’ Kyle O’Hara steadied the ship by making it 2-1 on a scoring rocket. Taking charge again, Ciesmelewski railed in two more goals to stretch the Pens advantage to 4-1. After racking up three assists in the early going, the Penguins’ Megan Feeley found her goal scoring “mojo” by making it 5-1, Penguins. Looking to pull in the reins on the Pens’ offense, the Devils unleashed an all-out attack on net and after two near misses by Alejandro Cifuentes and Ethan Bustamante, a pin point pass by Aaliyana Cifuentes gave O’Hara another chance to cash in and he answered by making it 5-2 with his second goal. With still half a game left to play, the Devils were still hanging around but that all changed in a big way. After minding the Penguins’ defensive front, Drew Radil added his fire power to the offense by blasting in 5 goals while also picking up an assist on a Feeley goal propelling the Pens’ lead to 11-2. Desperate for any kind of offense, the Devils’ Kailey Delauter threw her talents into the mix but the Penguins’ defensive duo of Nicholas DePinto in net and Ezekiel Lupainez controlling the zone made sure the day belonged to the Penguins who improved to (5-1) with a huge 11-2 victory.
