JERSEY CITY – The Kennedy Dancers’ cat, named Katy, has been missing since Wednesday, July 12 at around 4 p.m. Katy the cat has been with the Kennedy Dancers since 2003 and she is 14 years old. She is a Black/Silver Tabby. She is spayed and has all her shots. However, she was quite big, now she is only less than 6 lbs. She is not malicious. She has a thyroid condition and she needs to be medicated on a regular basis.
It’s been almost 24 hours since she has had her medicine and they are worried her condition will worsen. She takes 15 mg of Methimazol and has to eat every 3 hours or she will die. She is very skinny, friendly, and has patches of her hair missing because of her condition. She will respond to her name if called.
“If you see her, we ask that you please handle her gently and carefully. She will meow when picked up because she is in a lot of pain due to arthritis. Please have a heart and help us find her. She means the world to us,” said studio owner Diane Dragone.
There is a reward for her safe return. All animal agencies and vets offices have been contacted. Please call (201)-659-2190. Or email with information, kennedydancers@aol.com.
