DROBNY, FRANK J.

97, died July 19, 2017 at Bayonne Medical Center. Born October 4, 1919 in New York City, the son of the late Catherine Mihalik Drobny and Ignatius Drobny, he lived in Jersey City the last 90 years. Retired in 1988 after 38 years as a revenue agent for the IRS. He was a first class petty officer for the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII and served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Senior Citizens Club. Husband of Lucy Legenc Drobny. Father of Michael Drobny and his wife Natacha, Denise Drobny and Francine Pagano. Grandfather of Luke, Matthew, Erica, Robert Andrew and Alec. Great-grandfather of Julian, Eliana and Robert, Jr. Brother of the late Pauline, Michael, John, William, Mary and Vincent.
