74, of Bayonne, passed away at home on July 25, 2017 with her family by her side. At the age of 13, Alicia came to Jersey City from her native Penuela, Puerto Rico before settling in Bayonne for the past 47 years. She successfully operated her own vending company selling a product she formulated while living in Pueto Rico called “A Piragua”, a type of snow cone topped with different flavor assortments. She was predeceased by her husband, Honorio Velez; her parents, Manuel Vega and Maria (De La Cruze Rosario) Velez; and many sisters and brothers. Left to cherish her memory are her 5 daughters, Crystal Peralta and her husband Jason, Maria, Marisol, and Aurea Velez and Yecentia Corro; 1 son Honorio Velez; 2 Sisters, 2 brothers, 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
