WALSH, JOYCE

A funeral mass was offered at St. Alyosius Church for Joyce Walsh of Jersey City. She passed away July 26. Born in Jersey City, Joyce was a lifelong resident. Joyce was the receptionist at The Jersey Journal for 22 years, retiring in 2012. Joyce enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and playing cards. She was always there to help others. She loved animals and was deeply saddened at the loss of her beloved dog Nugget. She was the wife of 52 years to James Walsh; mother of James Walsh, Joseph Walsh (Sergeant JCPD) and his wife Bria; grandmother of Ava Marie, Jordyn Marie and Joseph Michael Walsh; sister of Louise Ottolaine; sister-in-law of Catherine McEneaney, Margaret Lisco, Julia Wall, Peggy Walsh, Patrick Walsh and his wife Priscilla. Joyce was predeceased by her parents Helen (Thee) and Herbert Keenan, and was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
