Fetus found in waste water at Bayonne pump station

BAYONNE – A human fetus was found in a liquid solid separator at a pump station in Bergen Point on Tuesday, Aug. 15, according to the Bayonne Police Department. The fetus was discovered by an employee of Suez Water, which operates the station, and was removed by the medical examiner’s office.
Workers found the fetus floating in the waste water as it was being filtered. A wind turbine on site powers the pumping station to send the water to the Passaic Valley Water Commission treatment plant in Clifton.
