A funeral mass was offered Aug. 29 at Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church, Jersey City, for Margaret Tomei of Jersey City. She passed away Aug. 19 surrounded by her family. She was the mother of Jersey City police officer John Tomei and Suanny Monchez and daughter-in-law Lisa Tomei. Margaret was predeceased by her son Thomas Tomei. She was grandmother to John Anthony Tomei, Justin Charles Tomei and Michael Tomei. Margaret was a former employee of Hava Pak Sugar Company in Jersey City.
