To the Editor:
The Confederate statues in Washington should not be removed. They are a part of American history. What happened to forgiveness? On June 17, 2015, in Charleston, South Carolina, a group of black women were praying. They were joined by a white male, Dylan Roof. After they finished with their prayers, Roof opened fire into the group, killing nine. The families of the nine women forgave Dylan Roof (a great example). What would Jesus do? What’s wrong with the world today? The churches are empty and the jails are full. Let the statues stand. Will the next target be Mt. Rushmore?
