Dear Editor:
Joshua Einstein is the independent At Large Hoboken City Council candidate our city needs. As an out of the box thinker unbeholden to any local political faction, he is free to speak on behalf of the people no matter who is mayor. Over the last decade, I have known Einstein to be a tireless advocate, a volunteer, and activist for the Hoboken community. He has always been involved in a variety of community service projects, has shown a constant interest in the well-being of all of Hoboken’s citizens, and will protect the interests of every Hobokenite. Einstein has campaigned with policy proposals rather than the personal attacks we have sadly become so accustom to in politics. Just as importantly, these policy proposals are focused on the needs of our city not the wants of particular pressure groups. From ending the war on cars to doing infrastructure right, actually addressing the west side perennial flooding after every medium rain to ending the over bonding (which will inevitably lead to a tax increases), Einstein has the ideas our city needs to thrive. From reforming our regressive housing policy to saying no to more PILOT (Payment In Lieu Of Taxes) sweetheart deals for developers, to ending the era of the city squeezing small businesses and empty storefronts – Einstein has been advocating the policies Hoboken needs and that’s why Hoboken needs Einstein.
