KENNY, LORETTA M.

A funeral mass was offered Oct. 6 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Jersey City, for Loretta M. Kenny, 80. She died Sept. 30 at her home. A lifelong Jersey City resident, the daughter of the late Georgia Thau White and William White, she was a registered nurse with the Jersey City Board of Education at P.S. 37 for 25 years before retiring. Loretta was a volunteer with the Liberty Science Center, Meals on Wheels, Our Lady of Sorrows Food Pantry, Hudson Cradle and the A.S.P.C.A. She was the wife of the late Francis Robert (Bob) Kenny; mother of Arlene Longo and her husband Franie, Billy Kenny and his wife Maureen and the late Bobby Kenny and his living wife Mary; grandmother of Michelle, Bobby, Caitlyn, William and Brian; great-grandmother of Kayla Marie, Samrah, Raegan and Mary Celia; sister of Marie Kelton, William (Whitey) White and the late George White.
