ZUKOWSKY, WALTER M.

72, of Clemmons, NC, formerly of Bayonne, passed away on October 7, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Pensacola, FL to Walter and Laura Zukowsky on October 8, 1944. Walter proudly served in the US Navy. He was a Vietnam Veteran and SGT. with the New Jersey State police, retiring after 30 years of service. Walter is survived by his wife, Carolann; his son, Michael (Kate); granddaughters, Alexa and Olivia; stepdaughters, Karen Jimenez and Jill Bligh; grandchildren, Joseph (USMC), Gabrielle, Jacqueline Jimenez, and Christopher Bligh; and his sister, Patricia Lech. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Paul. The family would like to thank the staff and the physicians of the CICU for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
