I want to thank the residents of Hoboken for electing me the next mayor of our city. I am humbled and proud to have this incredible honor to represent Hoboken.
I could not have achieved this result without the strong support of so many of my neighbors and friends in Hoboken. To everyone who knocked on doors, made phone calls, talked to your neighbors, wrote a letter or made a donation – thank you. I want to also congratulate all of the candidates who ran in the race, as well as their supporters. Participation in our democracy is to be embraced and celebrated, and we are lucky to have many passionate residents who are committed to improving Hoboken.
Throughout the race, I talked to so many people who are excited about the future of our city. I remain very optimistic about Hoboken and what’s ahead. Our city has come a long way since I first called Hoboken home 17 years ago, but I know there is still more to do. I look forward to working on the issues that will make our city an even better place to live and work, including addressing our infrastructure needs, holding the line on taxes, creating more recreation opportunities and open space, and much more.
With the election behind us, now is the time to come together as a community, united, to tackle the challenges ahead for Hoboken. In the New Year, I can’t wait to work with all of you, together, to make our great city even greater. I know the best is yet to come for Hoboken.
