ANDERSON, GEORGE J. SR.

A funeral mass was offered Dec. 6 at Our Lady of Grace Church in Hoboken for George J. Anderson Sr., 96. He died Dec. 3 at Hoboken University Hospital. He was born in Hoboken and a lifelong resident. He worked for over thirty years, including during WWII at Keuffel Esser in Hoboken making precision instruments. George was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Church, Hoboken, where he was involved with their CCD program, was an usher and a member of The Holy Name Society. He was also a long and faithful fan of the Boston Celtics. Mr. Anderson was predeceased by his wife of thirty-eight years Mary (nee Conway). He is survived by his sons George J. Anderson Jr. and Robert Anderson and his wife Mary (nee Greene), grandchildren Eric Anderson and his wife Kelly (nee Zanetich), Andrew and Melanie Anderson, Specially acknowledged grandchildren Gregory and Nicholas Barbo and great-grandchild Elliot Anderson.
