What do the police have to say?

To the Editor:

Many of you are probably wondering the same questions we are: is Bayonne getting safer? How is our police force planning to keep up with the rate of population growth in our city? What is our police force doing to ensure the safety of our community on a daily basis?
The Bayonne Civic League, launched earlier this year to inspire residents to become more active in our community, is delighted to announce that we will host a special meeting to give the community a chance to hear directly from our leaders in the police squad about what is happening in town. On Monday January 8, deputy chief of police Robert Geisler will host a session and Q&A with attendees on a range of important topics for Bayonne.
If you are interested in learning more about what the police are doing to keep us safe – what they are noticing, how the trends are shifting in our community, and more – please join us on January 8. The meeting will be held at our usual location – the second floor of Hendrickson’s Corner on 31st and Broadway. The meeting will start at 7 p.m., and all are welcome to attend. RSVP is mandatory however, so please contact Bayonne.Civic.League@gmail.com by January 5 if you are interested in attending.
If you are not able to attend but would still like to learn more, let us know. We are happy to add you to our mailing list so that you can receive more info about exciting upcoming events and charitable activities. Don’t hesitate to reach out.
