Residents around the county share their resolutions

A new year sometimes provides new resolve and inspiration – a chance to think through how to make positive changes in the next few months. While not all problems can be solved by positive thinking (sometimes it takes better health care or Gofundme.com), it never hurts to focus on the more manageable areas of your life.
Some local residents said they wanted to change bad habits in 2018, while others wanted to work on their relationships. “To be happy,” said Nellie Gomez of Union City. “I have so many commotions within my family.”
Judging from people’s comments on social media this season, she was not alone in wanting to improve familial relations. Maybe we all need a bit less judgment, more kindness. Here are other resolutions from your neighbors.
