Funeral mass was held Feb. 3 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Hoboken, for John V. Castellitto, 74. He passed away peacefully Jan. 31 surrounded by his family at Christ Hospital. John was a well-known lifelong Hoboken resident and was very active in many organizations, including being Past Grand Knight at Hoboken’s Knights of Columbus Council 159 and enjoyed fishing and bow hunting. He served his country in the US Army during Vietnam. John dedicated his life to his family friends and worked most his life at his family owned business The Grand Bakery on the corner of 8th and Willow Ave. John was the husband of Kathleen (nee Catania), father of the late Anthony Castellitto, brother of Dr. Bart Castellitto and his wife Giana, Anthony Castellitto; and the late Antoinette Teresi, Joseph Castellitto, Geraldine Gabriel, and Grace Tuzzi. He is also survived by his sister in law Sara Pernetti and the late Sam, and Florence and Vincent Pasquale; as well as his many nieces and nephews.
