Weehawken implements road restrictions for commuters

WEEHAWKEN– According to reports, Weehawken has placed road restriction which will close side streets to commuters during rush hour.
Commuters travelling to and from the Lincoln Tunnel along I-495 often use Hackensack Plank Road and Pleasant Avenue as shortcuts to avoid traffic and congestion.
Starting Tuesday, Feb. 13 from 3 to 7 p.m. drivers won’t be allowed to utilizes these shortcuts unless they are residents of Weehawken.
Police will be looking for parking placards on resident vehicles and drivers without a card who attempt to make the turn could get a ticket.
