To the Editor:
Sunday, February 4, was World Cancer Day, a reminder to me and my colleagues at the Estee Lauder Companies that breast cancer does not end in October. I would like to thank all who participated and/or supported the 9th Annual Walk in the Park to support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The Walk was held on Sunday, October 15 at the Stephen R. Gregg Park in Bayonne. Through the grassroots efforts in Bayonne throughout the years, we have raised almost $40,000 for the Estee Lauder Companies Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign. In addition to my family and friends who support this event annually, I would like to offer special thanks this year to the Bee 74’s, Joanne Arlington and the St. Ann’s Society of Bayonne and Hendrickson’s Corner for your significant support this year. I would also like to thank the Bayonne Community News for their support each and every year. The 2017 campaign theme of the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign was “25 years ago, there was no pink ribbon. In the future we hope there will be no need for one.” Looking forward to continuing the good work in October 2018. Thank you to all!
