76, of Tinton Falls, passed away with his family by his side on March 16, 2018. He was born in Jersey City and lived in Jersey City, Bayonne, Oceanport and Long Branch before moving to Tinton Falls 6 years ago. He was a physical education teacher for the Jersey City School District; assistant superintendent and then first assistant superintendent retiring 1994. He then became assistant director of the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission before retiring in 2010. Lou was a member of the NJEA, JCEA and the HCEA where he served on many committees and boards. He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Vita Lanzillo and a nephew, Thomas Fette. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Mary Elizabeth “Sis” O’Connor Lanzillo; sister, Donna Marie and her husband Thomas Fette and many nieces and nephews.
