A vote ‘outside the box’ for Bayonne

To the Editor:

The candidacy of Dr. Brown to become the next mayor of Bayonne provides the people of this wonderful but neglected city the much needed opportunity to vote for someone outside the box of politics as usual. Every four years we see how the status quo manages to change hands within those who have nothing positive to show, but rather the continuation of their stronghold of the finances of our town. Their campaigns will be funded, millions spent, by those who have no regard for the stability and prosperity of this town but rather all they care about is their greed to gain favors through inflated municipal contracts and the promise of high-paying jobs and jobs for their families and friends. I wouldn’t be saying this if all those previous administrations had managed this town efficiently with a balanced budget and without the shenanigans of the millions unaccounted for in the school budget that got lost in the shuffle between the city and the BOE, and no one is found responsible through magical cover-ups?
I have known Dr. Brown a long time and can tell you he is not just a doctor and lawyer but a good and decent human being trustworthy and honest. He’s taken care of my family’s health needs for more than 15 years and provided home visits to my 101-year-old mother-in-law. At one time in Bayonne he was the only doctor making house calls for the elderly seniors at no extra pay. He is a clear choice and the only choice this election for the people of Bayonne to have a mayor who really cares about running this town with good business practices, cost effectively, productive, and with a balanced budget that will stabilize and down the line reduce the ever increasing taxes. This can be done by reducing corruption in municipal government and eliminating the tax and spend attitude of the pervasive “machine politics.”
Thank God this time around we have a good choice; let’s not waste this opportunity to bring sanity to this city.

Disclaimer: This is my personal opinion and recommendation, not solicited by Dr. Brown
