Weehawken prom cut short after yacht collision near Hoboken

WEEHAWKEN–Weehawken High School’s prom ended early Thursday after the yacht they were on collided with another in the Hudson River, according to reports.
There were 95 passengers and 11 faculty members on board the docked Cornucopia Destiny when it somehow rear-ended the Cornucopia Sundancer.
Officers from Hoboken Police Department responded to the scene and helped coordinate buses for the students. No one was injured.
Superintendent Robert Zywiki said in a Tweet that students would be able to use the Weehawken Elks club until midnight and “Every effort will be made to hold another prom before graduation.”
