BITWINSKI, RICHARD

92, passed away on May 21, 2018. Richard was born in Bayonne and lived there all his life. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of American Legion, F.A. Mackenzie Post. He was employed as a chemical operator by Exxon Corporation, retiring after 30 years of service. Richard was born on October 3, 1925 to the late Edmund and Michalina Bitwinski (nee: Pogorzelski). He is predeceased by his two brothers, Sigmund and Edward Bitwinski, and one sister, Marie Siwiec. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Cecilia Bitwinski (nee: Blyskal); four sons, Peter, John and his wife Sue, Robert and Gerard Bitwinski; two daughters, Catherine Murray and her husband Bill, and Mary Ann Wolenski and her late husband, Stanley; six grandchildren, Todd Wolenski and his wife Michele, Adam Wolenski and his wife Kirsten, Christopher Murray, Lauren Murray, Brenda Azocar and her husband Fabian, and Jessica Bitwinski; and six great-grandsons, Jesse, Alex, Desmond, Rory, Kyle and Eric, as well as many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard’s memory may be made to Center for Hope Hospice at Father Hudson House, 111 DeHart Place, Elizabeth, NJ 07202.
