JERSEY CITY – Darrell Rush, 31, of Jersey City, was found in a lifeless condition with an apparent gunshot wound to his head at about 11:25 p.m. on June 26, according to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez
Jersey City police officers were dispatched to the area at about 11:25 p.m. on a report of gunshots being fire near Martin Luther King Drive and Bidwell Avenue.
Upon arrival, responding police officers found Rush in the street near 199 Bidwell Ave. Rush was pronounced dead at the scene at about 11:40 p.m.
The cause and manner of death are pending an investigation by the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office. The Prosecutor’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating this case with assistance from the Jersey City Police Department. No arrests have been made at this time.
