Bielan Law took a one game lead in the Charlie Hattenberg Minor League championship series by beating Kuhl’s 4-0 in game one at Volunteer Stadium in the Bayonne Little League Complex. Jared Edwards, Chris Lopez, Logan Servodio and Ethan Villacres divided the mound duties by combining to pitch a two-hitter with 13 strikeouts and 9 walks. The game remained scoreless until the fifth inning when Bielan scored three runs, four batters in a row drew free tickets and drove in two runs with a single. In the sixth inning, Paul Erwin lead off with a double, advanced to third and scored on a sacrifice ground out. Chris wound up with two hits for Bielan, while Carmelo Isler and Brandon DeloSantos got both hits for Kuhl’s.
