To the Editor:
After the passage of time, a person’s evaluation utilizes the terms “winner” and/or “loser.” The school year will soon conclude, and so, this is my opinion:
“Winner” refers to the school bus drivers. For 180 days, they transport “special needs” students to and from school with the utmost safety. Also, the athletic teams, clubs, etc. must transverse major highways with careful concern to relieve any parental worry. Hats off ladies/gents!
“Loser” refers to the BBOED. Though they can now find the money, it is misused. Example #1: the “Special Ed” students spend six out of eight periods in antiquated rooms lacking technology (are they worth it?). Example #2: no “Spanish” teachers hired (Is French Bayonne’s second language?). Example #3: BHS is not part of the HCCC “Leap Program,” which provides college credits at a discount (students/learn, parents/save?).
After reading the above, every citizen in Bayonne can decide to be an “advocate”(winner) or “indifferent” (loser). This is your choice.
