LISA, DOMENICO

Funeral mass was offered June 21 at St. Ann’s RC Church, Hoboken, for Domenico Lisa, 87. He passed away on June 16 at Jersey City Medical Center. Born in Monte San Giacomo, Italy, “Dominick” immigrated to Hoboken in 1951 and lived there until the time of his passing. Predeceased by his wife, Marietta, a brother Pietro Lisa and his wife Lana, his in-laws Rafael and Lena Capporino, Michael and Jennie Rizzo and Giuseppe Rizzo, he leaves to mourn his passing a grand host of nieces, nephews and their children. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Angelina Rizzo, and his lifelong friend and business partner, Vincent Pasquale. Both he and Dominick established the D & V Barber Shop on 10th and Washington Street in Hoboken; still in existence, it recently celebrating its 50th anniversary. Dominick was a past officer of the Monte San Giacomo Club and a dedicated member of the Hoboken Elks.
