PLACING TEAM FIRST

The St. Dominic Academy Cross Country/Track & Field program, which always place team first, enjoyed a stellar year. The team was a dominant force locally as is the norm and traveled to 12 states during the recently concluded 2017-18 school tear. The team won the Indoor State Relay competition in Parochial B. Eight Bayonne residents contributed to the efforts including, from the left, Olympic Spirit middle schooler Alexa Janeczko, freshman Alexandria Taveras, Olivia Aidukas, Kayla Sullivan, Avery Sullivan and sophomore Suhayla Johnson (not pictured Caroline O’Donnell and Sasha Magda). Director of Athletics and forty year SDA coach John E. Nagel is at left. Kayla Sullivan was an All County performer each season and earned All State honors Cross Country and Indoors. Suhayla Johnson earned All State honors Indoors.
