Hoboken’s Guitar Bar to attempt a world record

HOBOKEN–The Guitar Bar All-Stars invite anyone with an acoustic guitar, ukulele, or other acoustic instruments to join as they once again try to set the world record for the world’s largest band. The Guinness Book of World Records lists 953 participants in Beijing, China, as the record holder for the world’s largest rock band. The largest guitar ensemble was composed of 6,346 guitarists in Poland.
This year they will be paying tribute to Tom Petty by playing his songs. All are welcome to join in.
This year marks the sixth attempt to break the world record. It will take place Thursday, July 26 at 7 p.m. with registration beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Sinatra Park. For more information go to www.guitarbar.com.
