A funeral mass was offered at Our Lady of Libera Church for Maria J. Fernandez, 94, of North Bergen. She passed away July 17. Born in Chaparra, Oriente, Cuba she was a retired seamstress. She was the wife of the late Joaquin Fernandez; mother of Regina Corso and husband James, Sylvia Sawicki and husband Michael and Luis Carlos Fernandez; grandmother of Frank Corso and wife Melissa, Marc Corso, James Corso and wife Amy, Rubin Fernandez and Lea Sawicki, great grandmother of Sophia, Joaquin, Julia and Kate.
