Hoboken suffers water main break Monday afternoon

HOBOKEN — A water main broke at the intersection of Observer Highway and Jefferson Street during the afternoon of Aug. 20 in lower Hoboken, near the Jersey City border.
Observer Highway was closed from Adams Street to Madison Street, and Jefferson was closed south of First Street.
The city sent out an alert late on Monday afternoon saying that SUEZ Water was on the scene, and repairs were in progress.
