BERGEN, MADELYN MARIE (GHIBESI)

Funeral services took place Aug. 14 for Madelyn Marie (Ghibesi) Bergen, 65. She passed away at the Raritan Bay Medical Center on Aug. 9. Born and raised in Jersey City, Madelyn was a graduate of Dickinson High School and attended Montclair University. She worked for the US Postal Service at the NJI NDC Bulk Mail Facility in Jersey City for over 28 years before retiring in 2012. Madelyn loved country music, parties, entertaining and dancing, but above all else she loved her family and particularly her three grandchildren, who were the joy of her life. Madelyn was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Audray Ghibesi; husband, Edward Bergen and brother Andrew Ghibesi. She is survived by her son, Michael Santeramo; daughter Rachel Capitelli and her husband James; grandchildren Amanda, Nicholas and Andrew, siblings, Audray Piskura, Edith Pankerwicz, Martin Ghibesi, Susan Beekman, Dennis Ghibesi, Doris Bianchi, Walter Ghibesi and Beth DeRoberts and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
