WHITAKER, JAMES HENRY, JR.

78, of Laurence Harbor, passed away at home surrounded by his family on August 20, 2018. James was born on July 1, 1940 in Jersey City, where he grew up. In 1970, he relocated to Bayonne, where he started his family and in 1987, settled in Hopatcong. Recently, James moved to Laurence Harbor. He was predeceased by his parents, Ruth (Graham) and James Henry Whitaker Sr, his former wife, Anne Garrison, his sister, Patricia Gillen and his son-in-law, Richard Kimball. James is survived by his children, Colleen Boruch and her husband, Robert, Doris Zito and her husband, Robert, Margaret Kimball, Donald Stoveken Jr., and James Henry Whitaker III and his wife, Anna Gromadzka-Whitaker. He is also survived by his sisters, Beverly McInerney and Janet Stavale and her husband, Anthony, along with 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
