HOBOKEN — Hoboken will host a second community meeting regarding the placement of an interactive sculpture on the Hoboken Southwest Park lawn on Wednesday, Sept. 12.
The meeting will take place at the Southwest Park Terrace from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Southwest Park is located on the corner of Jackson Street and Patterson Avenue.
Attendees will discuss the results of the summer online survey and the city will gather feedback from residents on how and whether to proceed with an interactive sculpture on the Southwest Park lawn.
Hoboken Southwest Park opened to the public in September 2017. It is one of the city’s resiliency parks and can capture 200,000 gallons of stormwater which helps mitigate flooding in the area.
It was awarded the Jersey Water Works’s One Water Award in 2017, as well as the United States Green Building Council New Jersey Chapter Award for Innovation and Sustainability Best Practices Award in 2018, both in the Public Projects category.
