KOSINSKI, WALTER

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Sept. 13 at St. Paul of the Cross Church for Walter Kosinski, 90. He passed away peacefully while with his family on Sept. 8. A lifelong Jersey City resident, Walter served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He worked for the US Postal Service for 40 years, retiring as Assistant Plant Manager of the New Jersey International Mail Center in 1993. A lifelong parishioner of St. Paul of the Cross Church, Walter was involved in many charitable organizations. He enjoyed the sport of horse racing but most of all loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Walter was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Rita; son Walter; brother Joseph and sisters Veronica, Stella, Alice and Nellie. He is survived by his sons, Daniel Kosinski, Robert Kosinski (Janice), Theo Kosinski (Kathleen) and Edward Kosinski (Annette) and grandchildren, Jake, Robert, Thomas, KelliRae, Amye and Lauren. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
