Secaucus’ alleged underwear thief faces charges

SECAUCUS – A Secaucus man is out on bail and faces burglary and theft charges after he was arrested for allegedly stealing women’s underwear on a number of occasions.

Secaucus police said the 47-year old local resident went into the laundry room of the apartment building where he lives on Eighth Street multiple times and made off with women’s underwear. He would then return the underwear, Secaucus Capt. Dennis Miller told

Residents of the apartment building concealed cameras in the laundry room to catch him, Secaucus police told the Jersey Journal. The defendant was reportedly caught on video allegedly “inappropriately holding” the underwear, Miller said.

He was arrested Sept. 21, and charged with burglary and theft.
