Fun for all

Annual Weehawken Day comes to waterfront park

Fantastic weather brought out Weehawkeners for the town’s annual Weehawken Day on Saturday, Sept. 30. Free burgers, soda, video games, slides, and musical and magician performances were on hand. Weehawken High School’s S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) department also hosted an “Are You Smarter than A Fifth Grader” challenge, along with teaching students how to create proper paper airplanes for terrorizing their teachers in homeroom class.

The Women’s Club of Weehawken, Weehawken Free Public Library, Weehawken Cub Scouts were among the organizations with booths at the event, promoting their efforts. For anyone interested in an after party, the Weehawken American Legion Post 18 gladly obliged, after the festivities ended at 6 p.m.
