DEPALMA-CAPRARO, LORETTA CATHERINE

A memorial service was held on Oct. 20 for Loretta Catherine DePalma- Capraro, 92. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Oct. 6 at Hackettstown Medical Center. She was born in Hoboken in 1926 and raised her son, John on Sixth Street in Hoboken. During the 1960s and 70s, she worked on Washington Street at Gay Mode Women’s Apparel along with her  friend, the late Ann Cassessa, and was a Rosarian of St. Francis Church in the 1970’s. Loretta is predeceased by her husband, August Capraro and her son, John Michael. Surviving are her granddaughter, Christina DePalma Lyon and her husband Joseph; her daughter-in-law, Claire McHale and three precious great-grandchildren, Caitlin, James and Connor. Her great-grandchildren brought her great joy in her later years. Her family and friends will miss her love, kind hospitality and her thoughtful guidance. Services arranged by the Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, Hoboken.
