Friends of Argus Eyes Present “Proud Peacocks: Alumni Variety Show 2”

The Friends of Argus Eyes, the premiere alumni-run theatre organization at Saint Peter’s University, will continue its tradition of a fall semester variety show on Nov. 17 in Pope Lecture Hall, 115 Glenwood Ave., Jersey City, at 7 p.m.

Joining the show as producer-in-residence will be Frank D’Agostino, who will have several of his songs performed. D’Agostino is a New York area theatre producer as well as a Jersey City local. Like previous Peacock Variety Shows, this will feature SPU students, alumni, staff, and faculty talents. “We will have improv, musical performances, as well as a hilarious one-act play by alumna Deirdre MacNamara ’05,” said director Jonathan Brantley. “These alumni are coming here to exemplify one of the most important Jesuit ideals, the pursuit Of excellence,”

FAE performed Why Must the Show Go On?: A Night of One-Act Plays last fall, along with a variety show every spring and fall semester. According to Brantley, the company is hoping that the variety show will bring more awareness to FAE, and that it continues next year with even more theatrical events in New York area.

Tickets will be $5 and sold at the door. For more information, check out The Friends of Argus Eyes Facebook page.
