Fellow Hudson chiefs praise his leadership

Chief Molinari's retirement begins Dec. 1.

Union City Police Chief Richard Molinari has retired after 30 years with the department. He received high marks from fellow local leaders in law enforcement, according to local reports.

On Twitter, Hoboken Police Chief Kenneth Ferrante, North Bergen Police Chief Robert Dowd, and Jersey City Police Chief Michael Kelly all praised Molinari for his service

Molinari will officially be retired as of Dec. 1, the department announced on social media.

Prior to becoming a police officer in August 1988, Molinari served as a volunteer member of the Union City Ambulance Corps.

“The residents of Union City truly appreciate everything that you do every single day. I leave you with the best wishes. I leave you with my heart,” Molinari told his fellow officers outside headquarters.
