SPERLING, JEAN C.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Dec. 21 at Immaculate Conception Church, Secaucus, for Jean C. Sperling, 75. She passed away in her home on Dec. 15 after a short battle with cancer. Born and raised in Jersey City, Jean had been residing for many years in Secaucus. Jean was the mother of Jeanne Zenko and husband Joseph Zenko, Kathleen Ricketts and husband Michael Ricketts, Kenneth Ash and wife Julie Ash; partner of James Woods; grandmother of Michael Zenko, Joseph Valenti, Jamie Collins, and Brian Zenko and great-grandmother of Joseph Valenti and Isabella Melody Valenti. She was also aunt to many nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her husband Robert Sperling, sister Joan Latella, and brother John Boguszewski. Jean lived life to the fullest. She loved to sing and dance, to travel and party with family and friends. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
