A funeral mass was offered Jan. 10 at St. Ann’s RC Church, Hoboken, for Antonino (Tony) Forte, 82 of Hoboken. He passed away peacefully at Hoboken University Medical Center on Jan. 4. He was born in Naples, Italy, but was a Hoboken resident for many years. A retired Maxwell House and Kraft Foods employee, Mr. Forte may be known best for his devout dedication to Padre Pio. He built a life-like shrine of Padre Pio at his Madison Street home, often inviting friends and neighbors to visit. He was predeceased by his wife, Ernestina (nee Arcuri), his son Louis Forte, his three brothers Camello, Raffaele, and John, and a sister Lucia. Surviving are three sons, Carmine (Bernadetta), Massimo, Nick (Juana); a brother Vincenzo, two sisters Maria Fresa (and the late Frank) and Rose Moschella (and the late Mike). He was the grandfather of Christina and Carmine, and a great-grandchild, Weston. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. The family acknowledges Norris Hernandez for her loyalty, healthcare and concern during his illness. Services arranged by the Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, Hoboken.
