A funeral mass was offered Jan. 29 at St. Ann’s RC Church, Hoboken, for Eleanor Falconer, 84. She passed away peacefully on Jan. 27. Eleanor was born in New York City. She graduated from high school, and was a proud veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War. Eleanor was a resident of Hoboken for fifty years, and was a retired school bus driver and crossing guard for the city. Eleanor is remembered for her love of life and her fierce independence. She was a member of the Skyways Riders Motor Cycle Club, and was actively involved in tenants and community associations throughout her life. She is now reunited with her parents, Andrew and Mary Marchenbeck and her husband, Eugene Falconer. She is survived by her family: her three children, Linda Corrigan, Dennis Corrigan, and Patricia Soriano, their spouses Sandi and Frank, her grandsons Matthew, Mark, Erik, and Max, and her sister Doris. Interment with her late husband took place in Middle Village, New York. Services arranged by the Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, Hoboken.
