To the Editor:
In response to Thursday’s, January 31, lengthy letter by Hector Gonzalez, I am following this whole Board of Education situation very closely, and he suggests that your readers should also.
As a senior citizen taxpayer, my opinion is that the Bayonne Board of education can save taxpayers and enormous amount of money by voting for the former business manager, Leo Smith, who served 44 years, almost half a century, in the Bayonne School District.
Bayonne cannot afford to end up with out-of-towners like the Jersey City outgoing superintendent of schools, Marcia V. Lyles. She was hired in 2012, and now seen today, February 1, on the front pages of the local newspaper ready to sue the Jersey City Board of Education and the teachers union.
