To the Editor:
I would like to thank everyone who attended and supported the recent screening of “Fair Game: Surviving a 1960 Georgia Lynching” at the Bayonne Public Library. It was great to see nearly 200 people turn up to hear the awful but incredible story of James Fair and our City’s valiant fight to save his life from the clutches of Jim Crow. I would, however, like to invite that audience and those who hunger for justice to heed the filmmaker’s plea and write the governor of Georgia to ask him to reopen the case in the murder of Yvonne Holmes. James Fair and the murder victim, Yvonne Holmes, deserve justice! Please write Governor Brian Kemp, c/o The Office of the Governor, State of Georgia, 206 Washington Street, Suite 203, State Capitol, Atlanta, GA 30334.
