Funeral mass was held March 1 at Saint Nicholas Church, Jersey City, for Andrea Greco, 64, of Jersey City. He passed away peacefully Feb. 25 with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife Clara, their sons Mike and Christopher, his three grandchildren Sofia, Christian, and Adriana, his sister Milena, mother-in-law Maria Ida, and his daughters-in-law Lalaine and Christine. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and friends. Andrea emigrated to Jersey City from S. Arsenio, Salerno, Italy at the age of 16. After graduating from Dickinson High School, he pursued the American Dream as a restaurateur. He is best known for his ventures as the owner of Three Guys from Italy Pizzeria in Journal Square where he served slices with a side of wisecracks to the local community. If you grabbed a slice on your way to the PATH train you probably ate at this iconic Jersey City pizzeria. As his business grew he opened two restaurants, the Parmigiana House and La Cantina, from which he delivered food to many local businesses. He also made it a habit to give back to the community with a food service for the homeless during Thanksgiving. Andrea was a father and husband who enjoyed interacting with people and will always be remembered. Services arranged by the Riotto Funeral Home, Jersey City.
