A funeral mass was offered March 23 at St. John Nepomucene Church in Guttenberg for Joseph W. Eng, 86, of North Bergen. He passed away surrounded by his family on March 18. He was born in New York City and lived for many years in Guttenberg before moving to North Bergen. Joseph was a supervisory inspector for the U.S. Customs Service in Newark for 43 years before retiring. He was also an Army veteran, who served during the Korean War. Joseph was the husband of Nettie Eng (nee, Moy). He was the father of Penny Yee, Gordon Yee, Bernice Eng, Darlene Eng and Darren Eng and wife Jennifer. He was the brother of Lily Donat and the grandfather of Lauren Fabrizio, Danielle Fabrizio and Caitlin Eng. Services arranged by the Leber Funeral Home, Union City.
