Hudson Is Proud of Our County Executive

Dear Editor:

As a lifelong resident of Hudson County for the past seventy years plus this writer is commending our County Executive Tom DeGise for his continuous stance by, for and of the people of Hudson County. This communication is written as a private citizen of this great county.

It is noted that Tom DeGise took over the reins of county government in a most difficult time in our history and throughout his tenure and to the present has stood for honesty and integrity in all areas of interaction. He has brought Hudson up to be a showplace for the other twenty counties ensuring that all residents from the very young to the most senior are taken care of in a kind, compassionate way.

The writer is bringing forth the following accomplishments of our County Executive that includes but is not limited to the very fabric of what good government is about in this day and age: fighting for the $15 minimum wage along with our Governor, funding for school safety, fighting the good fight against illegal guns entering our community, rising about in the custody of those in our correctional facility placing emphasis on the concept of rehabilitation, not just recognizing the opioid addiction crisis but providing assistance for those affected, working with all non profit and faith based groups to move forward the county programs for the homeless, those suffering from hunger, domestic violence and other social issues, improving education and recreational areas for all to enjoy.

We are fortunate to have Tom DeGise at the helm in our county, through the efforts Hudson County will remain strong and continue to always place people first.
